ThunderWalk 2012
The ThunderWalk challenge is simple - each team of 4 ThunderWalkers must make their way around the 54 mile route within 24 hours. Located in the breathtaking Brecon Beacons National Park, training ground to the SAS, ThunderWalk offers some amazing scenery whilst at the same providing each team with an exhilarating mental and physical challenge.

We are not going to lie to you, ThunderWalk is tough. However, with the correct training and with the support of your team mates it IS achievable. The elation and emotion you’ll feel after crossing the finish line will be a feeling hard to match, or to describe… come and be part of something special and prove to yourself, and others, that anything is possible.
ThunderWalk success is all about teamwork – from the minute you register you will need to work, fundraise and train as a team. It is this bond that is built and developed in the lead up to ThunderWalk that will enable you to become ThunderWalk Champions!
The rules…
Each team must have 4 walkers, and one support crew with a vehicle. The support crew you bring along is a vital component to your success – they’ll be the ones to meet you at the designated points along the route to provide you with boosts of encouragement, some of your favourite snacks, change of clothes and lots of fresh pairs of socks!
We also ask you to nominate a charity to support and further information regarding the payment and sponsorship options are found below.
Please ensure you read and fully understand the Conditions of Entry and Rules of the ThunderWalk, which are found on the reverse of the registration form located in the downloads section of the website.
How to enter a Team…
There must be 4 people in your team – not 3, or 5, just 4. Simply complete the registration form and send back to Global Adventure Challenges along with your registration fee. We’ll then send you further information on what to expect from this amazing event.
We suggest you register as soon as possible as there are only 50 team places available for ThunderWalk 2012 and they will allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The ThunderWalk Village…
This is where ThunderWalk will start and finish and there will be a whole host of facilities available for each team – toilets, showers, honesty bar, camping plots and hot served food regularly. Come along and camp – why not make a weekend of it with the ThunderWalk Crew!
